Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939. The muted green drip over pink is a beautiful glaze. This is a nice mantle or cabinet vase. Beautiful shape with interesting drip glaze that surrounds the top. Sure to please any collector. This is impressed on the bottom with H which are the decorator marks. In my opinion, this would make a wonderful addition to any Muncie Pottery collection or any pottery collection. Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Probably could use another good cleaning to bring out the colors even more.
