Muncie Pottery 1928 Rombic Gloss Black Peachskin Console Bowl #306-9
The Rombic cubist designs by Reuben Haley were the opposite of his Spanish line, with amazing lines and angles juxtaposed throughout. These amazing and often colorful pottery pieces are prized by collectors, with only 25 or so different designs known to have been produced. Many of the Rombic line pieces are marked with the Muncie stamp in the base.
Here we have an excellent example of the Rombic black peachskin console bowl. The peachskin high gloss glaze is beautifully offset with black instead of blue which makes for a more interesting combination. The bowl is 8 3/4 inches wide and is in outstanding condition. A piece that would excite any collector of American art pottery. Add this piece to your collection before someone else does!!
Exceptional piece in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs. FREE from crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
Authentic and appropriately signed Muncie. All pictures are original and un-edited.
    Height: 2 1/2", Base: 5 1/2", Rim: 5 3/4, Width: 8 3/4" ID2427
