About Michael Dixon of Brownsville, Maryland
Since 1973 Michael Dixon has been combining his talents in design and wood craftsmanship. He has been producing his widely-admired line of beautiful hardwood cigar humidors since 1995.
His studio, located in Brownsville, Maryland, is a production woodworking shop that contains the latest machinery and employs state-of-the-art techniques in design, construction and finishing. Michael Dixon Humidors represent excellence in function, style, and price. Michael Dixon has been a fine-arts wood craftsman for over 40 years and has been making and selling humidors for more than two decades. All products are made in his Maryland studio.
His humidors are built from the finest grade of domestic and imported hardwoods and veneers, and all wood joints are lock mitered to withstand high internal moisture content over extended periods of time. Each will provide the owner with many years of useful service and beauty.
The interior is African Sapele-lined. The finest brass hinges, locks and handles are used, and all are attractively recessed. Each humidor contains a Humigar for regulating interior humidity and a hygrometer to measure it. (However, the humigar and the hygrometer do not work on this item.)
Condition: Pre-owned, used; some scuffs, scratches, marks, knicks on box; analog hygrometer is detached and needs to be glued back on and is vintage so will even probably need to be replaced; Humigar is also detached and is vintage and also will probably need to be replaced; black fabric on underside is peeling and torn and coming off in little pieces.
