    I Hand Turned this Exotic Black Mesquite Wood Heddle Hook with a hand cut Brass hook and an Iridescent Mother-of-Pearl Inlay finial
    .
    This Heddle hook is 10 3/4"overall with a Hand cut,honed, and polished Solid 1/32" x 3/16" Brass Hook extending 7" from the Exotic Black Mesquite Handle.  The finial is my signature inlay  of natural iridescent Mother of Pearl and is 1/4" in diameter.
    I believe that your fiber tools should be just as beautiful as the fiber you weave.
    This cut of Exotic Black Mesquite is a milk chocolate brown with  rich swirling mottled fine contrasting black grain figure. I do custom Hooks in various woods, inlays and lengths. Unfortunately the gift box manufacturer discontinued the size of gift box I needed for heddle hooks so it now has to  come in a plain carton only, sorry about that!
    The finish is very smooth, soft luster, satin look. No stains, tints, varnishes, fillers, resins or hard coatings are used. The wood is burnished to the soft feel with a mix of fine British furniture waxes. You will love the hand of the wood. I like to let the wood speak for itself and not hide it under an artificial coatings. Quality is not expensive, its priceless.
