Story Funnel ~ Santa, The Intruder
made in England by Dennis West
Dennis West made nearly 30 of these, what I like to call - Story Funnels.  The story is not painted...Mr. West applied a lithograph to the funnel – please view all photos to assess the application.
This funnel tells the story of Santa Claus delivering a Christmas present to a boy as he is sleeping; the family dog has one eye open watching Santa.
It measures 3 ½” tall and is faintly marked ENGLAND and DW.   This pie funnel was purchased direct from Mr. West -- as you can see in the photos, he touched up the lithograph in some areas prior to glazing and the color isn't an exact match.   No chips or cracks; there is all over crazing – the glaze is rough in some areas.
